Hello All,

I need to send bulk email around 70k at one time based on the value stored in sharepoint. Please let me know whether this is achievable?

And also whats the limit for sending bulk email through power automate?

Depends on which connector you are using.

The Send an email notification (v3) will send the email from Microsoft PowerApps and Flow. It can only send 100 emails every 24 hours.

The Send an email (v2) will send the email from you as the creator of the flow. It can send 300 emails every 60 seconds.

there is no single way to send out the bulk emails. You need to break your contacts into maximum group of 300 and wait 1 minute to send out email notifications to next group.

So inshort you need to run the flow for 233 minutes (70,000/300) minimum + execution time of the flow with a lot of supervision.

There are better solutions out there to send bulk emails.

@nagaraj007 a flow in Power Automate is really not the most sensible solution for this. You need to be using a proper bulk email platform like dotdigital (there are many others).

Hello,

There may be a much better way to achieve the same result.

For anyone else sending bulk emails, try using the Send Email action with batches of 500 emails in the Bcc field.

The Bcc field should send the message to all those 500 recipients privately without any of the recipients getting access to other recipients.

For a specific scenario with Sharepoint, you can use the Select action on the SharePoint output to create JSON arrays of each 500 email batch. Then use a series of replace expressions on the output body of the Select action to reformat the JSON array into just the emails separated by semicolons. So about 2 actions per 500 emails all in a loop.

Hello,

What would be the limit for 5000 item in a SP List, and against each item one email needs to be sent out to the assigned user. This is an activity required to update all the users about the updated items.

Use a Distribution List created in M365 Admin > Teams and Groups > Distribution Lists. This is one email for as many members as you want.
