Hello,
I am trying to create a SharePoint flow between two parties where there will be a lot of back and forth mailing when changes are made to an item in the list.
The two groups consist of multiple people. When an item is created by a person of the first group, an email is sent to everybody from the second group. But once an item is uploaded by a person of the first group and taken up by a person of the second group, all remaining traffic should only be between those two persons involved. I am having trouble to adress my emails to the right person.
If a new item is created, the column 'Created By' and 'Modified By' are equal to each other. If the person from party two edits the item, then the two colums aren't equal anymore. When the second party modifies the item, the person in the first group who created the item should receive an email and vice versa. So I made in if condition that stated 'if created by is not equal to modified by', then send an email to the person who created the file. Because then I know that the person who last modified the item belongs to party 2.
But how do I notify the person from party 2 (who has taken on the job) when the person from party 1 modifies the item once again? At that time, the colums 'Created By' and 'Modified By' are equal so sending a mail to 'Modified By Email' would mean that person would be sending a mail to him/herself.
I think I should be able to send an email to the person who first modifies the item (after the creator), but I don't know how.
Does anybody know how to solve this issue? I hope you understand my problem.
Many thanks,
AVH
Hi @AVH,
Does the person of first group share his SharePoint list with everyone from the second group?
Does the person who first modifies the item (after the creator) come from the second group?
Further, do you only want to send email to the person of second group who first modifies the item?
If the person who first modifies the item (after the creator) is from the second group, you could consider take a try with the following workaround:
@not(equals(triggerBody()?['Author'], triggerBody()?['Editor']))Within "If/yes" branch of Condition, add a "Send an email" action to send email to the person who created the item.

The flow works successfully as below:
If you want to send email to notify the person from second group (Who has taken on the job) when the person who created the item modifies the item once again, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.
Best regards,
