Error handling time out

Hello everyone!!! This is my first post, so first of all, thank you for reading it ๐Ÿ™‚

I need to do an exception handling. So I have thought that if a certain time has passed a process is executed, the error block is executed. How can I do this? and also, how can I kill a desktop application?

Thank you all!!!

I have the same question (0)

    Re: Error handling time out

There is no overall timeout for the entire flow (except for cases when it runs from the cloud and there are some default throttling limits).

But there are certain actions that allow error on timeout. Those are usually related to 'Wait'. There are actions for Wait for Window content, Wait for Window, Wait for Web page content, Wait for image, etc. All of these allow throwing an error upon timeout and then this error can be handled by the overall error block.

As to 'killing' a desktop application, you can use the 'Terminate process' and terminate the underlying process if it is stuck. The nicer way to turn it off is to use 'Close window' action instead.

Thank you!!! What a great idea!!! I'm going to try it

To kill the process at the end what I have done is to simulate the Windows CMD access and put taskkill /F /IM <process-name>.

Thank you very much! I'll let you know how it goes!
