Power Apps Studio Bug: Typed characters not appearing in Code Editor

I have been encountering a lot of instabilities and bugs in the Power Apps Studio in the last 5 months, or so. I will post them as they occur. It seems that no one else is experiencing these bugs (that I have found), so perhaps it is local to our tenant.

The current issues is that  sometimes I cannot type into the code editor field of Power Apps Studio. I can click into it, move the cursor into different positions, but, when I type, nothing happens. I can save and refresh.

I'd start by clicking the stethoscope, then performance, and see if you have any "too complex" or "too many controls" warnings

going past their recommended levels will start eating into the amount of memory your editor has available  to process changes & display current controls and slow things down considerably

I simplified my pages, and some or the irregularities have not manifested themselves recently. Thank you for the heads up, @TheRobRush.

Anytime man. It's really frustrating sometimes for those new to PowerApps who don't realize what is going on. But since PowerApps is basically just running in a web browser, using it's resources, one of the best things you can learn is how to streamline everything you do inside the apps you make. You can make some pretty amazing stuff, while maintaining a memory friendly app, once you get it down.

Of corse, some of the instabilities are still manifest.

In the end, realizing that much of the complexity was coming from a robust record preview, I turned that preview into a component. This reduced my complexity by 138, bringing me under the 300 threshold.

It turns out that the component weighed only 1, even though it had 23 parameter inputs for the display.

    Live; learn.
