This is a known bug in the latest version. Try using a different approach. I have described it previously in a LinkedIn post here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/agnius-bartninkas_rpa-automation-processimprovement-activity-7121012203045937152-V8TH

May be a solution but I would have dozens of these to change.

How can I go back to the previous version that worked?

    Thanks,

    David

It happened here too with v 2.38.182.23307.

I noticed the web extension wasn't updated, the version is still 2.37.0.18 ... might this be the reason why Power Automate Desktop can't communicate with it?

You can, if you have an installer available and have not modified the flow. If you do not have an installer, you can ask MS support to provide you with it. But if you have modified your flow after the update, it may not work after you downgrade.

Posting this here because none of the suggestions I found online fixed my issue with not being able to assume control of my edge browser.  In my case the issue was caused by the edge Power Automate browser extension needed to be uninstalled from both of the edge profiles I have... personal and work.  So I logged into each manually, uninstalled from Work and Personal, then reinstalled on one of them (Work), and my flows work properly again.

Hope this helps someone else who wasted hours trying to solve this!
