Editor Replacing '< br>' literal with line breaks in all of my flows!

Hi,

I often compose or make a variable with HTML text in it. Now, it seems that the editor is actually interpreting the <br> of the HTML to literal line breaks. Anyone else experiencing this? Attached GIF shows what is happening.

    Hi  AaronBastian,

Yes, I can recreate the same issue. It is an "issue" with the new editor. Switchback to the classic editor and you will see that the <br> tags are still there:

Did switching back to the classic editor fix your issue?

@Ellis Karim yes, but I wouldn't really consider this a solution. I'll mark it as answer for you, but what I ended up doing is just putting NEWLINE wherever I want a <br> and then using replace(Text, 'NEWLINE', '<br>'). Not eloquent, but it works and should be future proof enough until/if they resolve this issue.

I recently experienced this with the new designer as well. I made the mistake of switching to it in one flow I was working on, and it replaced <br> with a space. In addition, I had a couple of tables in the e-mail, and it added   <tbody><tr> tags to it that threw off the columns in the tables, and it added border="1" to the table tag that threw off my CSS (<table border="1">). It was a complete mess.

I used a compose action to create the e-mail and then put the body of the compose action in the e-action. However, based on your post, it looks like that doesn't work either. I guess it means continue using the classic designer and avoid the new one like the plague.

@David_MA, Yeah its a shame because the new editor has so many helpful features, but has all of these odd bugs that render it unusable in some cases.
