'Invoke web service' not saving document when triggered from cloud flow

Wondering if this is a defect, or if I'm doing something wrong.

I have a PAD flow that uses the 'Invoke web service' action to retrieve a compressed (.zip) file from an API. This desktop flow works like a charm when i trigger it locally from the console. The zip file is saved to the designated directory on the local drive.

When I add an action to a cloud flow to trigger the desktop flow, the desktop flow returns a '200' response to the cloud flow, indicating that the desktop flow ran successfully. However, no file gets created on the local drive.

Has anyone else run into this?

Ok...this was a learning moment for me, so I thought I'd share. When you trigger a desktop flow from a cloud flow, the default input variable values are ignored if the triggering action doesn't provide a value. So, instead of saving the files to the default directory name I had created for the input variable, it was saving them to a 'null' directory. In Power Automate Desktop's case, the 'null' directory is the application root directory: in my case, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Power Automate Desktop".

Hopefully this will prevent someone else from making the same mistake.
