Hello,

I am getting the following error message on my flow. I am using Forms along with Power Automate. I am not technical and can't understand what the error message is saying. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Get_manager_(V2)' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language expression 'body('Get_response_details')?['responder']' cannot be evaluated because property 'responder' cannot be selected. Array elements can only be selected using an integer index. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions for usage details.'.

It says you are trying to select a value in the incorrect way.

Can we please see your flow in configuration / edit mode so we can see how it's set-up? That will allow us to help you.

Okay, your issue is right at the top there.

You shouldn't have an "Apply to Each" for your Get Response Details.

You're going to want:

> When a new response is submitted

> Get response details

> Get Manager V2

In the "Get Response Details", you need only select "Response ID" from your trigger, like this:

Then, you'll be able to reference your Responder from the output of the Response Details.

Thank you for the response. the "Apply to Each" kept coming up on it's own. I tried to delete it a couple of times. I will try again and see what it does.
also "Response ID" is not an option from my trigger. I tried all the ones on the list and they didn't work.

What does your "When a new response is submitted" look like?

If "Response ID" doesn't appear, I'd recommend re-building -- that's a standard dynamic content that must come out of the "When a new response is submitted" in order to be successful.

I guess I will have to rebuild. I have tried making minor changes and it won't work.

Yeah, that's super weird. I'm sorry. It's the only dynamic content you should be able to get from it...

I'm really confused as to why you're getting what you're getting. Are you building this in a very specific place - like a Solution or something?

So, I did what you said to start over, but I was going to do it step-by-step. I deleted the "When a new response is submitted" and re-did that initial part. after that "Response ID" showed up in Get Response Details. I resubmitted a request and the flow worked!
