Retrieving User Phone Numbers to Populate a Word Template

Hello

I am trying to pull a user's phone number into a Microsoft word document. The phone number will change based on the user. First I am getting items from a SharePoint list, then adding a search in the user directory.

When I get to the FarmUWphone field, I cannot figure out an expression to say: lookup the FarmUWemail from the SharePoint list and generate the phone number based on that user. I will repeat this to fill HobbyUWphone and HomeUWphone.

Considered adding phone number to the SharePoint list itself, but would like to avoid adding columns if I can.

It is hard to tell from your explanation, but is your FarmUW field a people field? if so, pass the e-mail address from this field through a Get user profile action. The user's phone number will be returned. If FarmUW field is not a people field, what does it store and how would it relate to looking something up and where do you want to look it up from?

Hi CL-30071415-0,

You will need to limit the search results in your flow to 1, like this -

And then add a compose to get the Phone Number of the user by using TelephoneNumber Dynamic Content in a Compose function. It will introduce a For Each loop but that's okay as the previous step will only produce 1 result. -

You can now use the Compose output for the steps after this.
