One possible solution is to set the time out duration for "Send an email with options" action in such a way that the entire flow timed out or failed before sending the new reminder. In the reminder flow, add "Send an email with options" action which will be directly used by the users for approving/rejecting the request. So, user does not have to switch to previous email for approving/rejecting the request.
In the below example, I have set the time out limit of send an email with options action as 1 day.
To set the time out limit, click on ellipses menu(...) & choose "Settings" from sub menu:

Next, scroll down to "Timeout" section & enter P1D:

pls modify the time out setting as per your need.
