Unattended mode not working

I am unable to run Power automate desktop code in Unattended mode using power automate cloud flow.

On changing the setting to Unattended mode, the flow is failing as power automate desktop is failing to click on any buttons, and its unable to identify the application window or any other properties.

While in attended mode, the process runs smoothly.

I have the same question (0)

    Please integrate a logging mechanism to store logs in the cloud and monitor the flow's activity in unattended mode, if you haven't already done so.

    Also, ensure that your browser has the Power Automate Desktop extension enabled, particularly if you've implemented web automation tasks.

    Furthermore, please ensure that you have the appropriate license to run your flow in unattended mode, as this license needs to be assigned to your environment level.

    Thanks,
    Deenu

    I have the license and also enabled the extension.

    The below UI element actions are failing in the unattended mode.

    None of the UI actions work.

    @sachindhyani
    Just try to create a new desktop flow with one or two actions involving interaction with the same web application, where you'll capture those UI elements again. Execute the desktop flow from the cloud flow in both attended and unattended modes to determine if it works in unattended mode. If it does, compare the captured UI element details between the old and new flows.

    Thanks,
    Deenu

     @Deenuji  Here we are trying to automate windows application. The Power Automate Desktop version is 2.3.

    @VamshiKrishna

    Please create a sample bot for that scenario as well. Begin by implementing logging functionality in the first line. For instance, you can use CSV writing and add comments to ensure it works in unattended mode initially. Then, include another action to interact with a Windows app, such as clicking or populating a textbox. In the next line, incorporate logging using the same CSV writing method. After running this flow from the cloud in attended mode, you will gain insight into the flow's behavior.

    Thank you,
    Deenu

    Hi @sachindhyani

    The issue could be because of resolution issue in unattended mode.
    To overcome the same please perform the following steps:-
    1) Navigate to the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Power Automate Desktop

    2) Look out for a file as shown in the image

    Shivlay_0-1707392348496.png

    3) Open the file(Run as administrator) in Notepad
    4)Look out for the screen resolution tag/settings options in the file

    (Refer to the snapshot )

    5)Change the highlighted value from false to true

    6) Make sure to save the file and restart PA Desktop Application.
    7) Don't forget to sign-out the user and check if it works 😁

    Hope this helps
