Hello. This is my first time trying to use flow. I wanted to sync my outlook 365 calendar with my google calendar, for which flow has a handy template. As it is my first time using the flow website I signed in using my outlook email and password. That worked fine. When I came to set up the connection for google and outlook 365 though, it connected and authenticated my Google account fine, but wouldnt complete the authentication & connection to my office 365 account. It asks me if I want to fix by updating my password...When i do that It opens another diagogue box listing my Offcie 365 account name to sign in, which i do, but that action does not fix or change nything....
I have tried signing out and signing back in using my outlook password and the problem remains. The flow site shows me as signed into outlook but still says my account is unauthorised and I can't do anything with it. What am I missing? Any help or suggestions please?
Thx,
GDR
Hello v-bacao-msft ...I know it has been a couple of months since my original post, but I wanted to follow up and continue the dialogue...In answer to your question and reply...I have an Office 365 personal subscription and my email address ends in "@outlook.com"...I have the Outlook desktop client installed on my laptop that I use to manage my emails and calendars...Additionally, I use a Samsung Andriod phone, with the Outlook app for android installed on that phone...
When I set up my original "flows", I used existing flows that someone else created and were shown as available in the flow app/site...It is possible that those were not created exactly to match my office 365 subscription and are "outlook based"...( as you pointed out)
I am not sure that I have the confidence to try to design one my self (which is why I was asking the question whether "Flow" has the capability to work with a personal office 365 subscription (as opposed to a work or school account)...and if it does, are there any existing "flows" created by another user that I can find and utilize?
Any dditional thoughts?...or suggestions?
Thx, GDR
Hi @GDR ,
Could you share the template you are currently using?
The first thing to note is that the two connectors, Office 365 outlook and Outlook.com are different.
If the template uses the Office 365 outlook connector, then you need to use an Office 365 account and cannot use an outlook account.
If it need to use the outlook.com connector, both outlook account and office 365 account can be used.
Since your template needs Office 365 outlook connection, you could delete the connection of outlook.com in the connection list, and then re-create the office 365 outlook connection using Office 365 account.
Finally re-use the template to configure Flow, select the created connection.
Please take a try.
