Hello
As far as I know the total capacity of storage is the sum of the baseline storage and all storage every single licensed user gets. I think that's clear.
Earlier days there was an additional limitation regarding the flow runs. This was quite simple to count. And again the total capacity was the sum of the quota every licensed user had. This type of capacity limitation was removed in the end of 2019.
But how is it exactly when it comes to the capacity of API calls? I read the licensing guide (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents Licensing Guide - June 2021.pdf) and Documentation on MS-Docs.
If I get it right, the capacity isn't cumulative anymore. This means, if we're using a single service account for most of the flows for a complex solution, the limit remains for example 5000 calls if this user has a "Power Apps per User" license. Even if overall we would buy 100 "Power Apps per User" licenses.
Is that correct? I could hardly believe that.
Furthermore currently one can't get an exact report of how much was used and how much is left of the quota. That's why MS doesn't strictly restrict to this limit. But no one really knows when the restrictions will get active. Or at least it's not clearly communicated. MS says they would just deactivate a user, if they notice an overrun for a longer period. Not funny in a business critical scenario!? One wouldn't even get a prior notification?!
Furthermore one can buy additional capacity, but it's not possible to assign this capacity to a user yet.
Can anyone help me understanding this better? Or guide how to plan for a business critical app?
