Connect an Excel prioritization matrix to MS Lists

I have a prioritization column in my MS List that needs to be connected to either an Excel or another MS List. Currently, the team is using an Excel that utilizes a prioritization matrix and members have to manually enter the results into the MS List (where we are keeping all of the project details and updates). Can someone please help me with a Power Automate flow to connect the MS List prioritization column with the Excel which has a matching column but a prioritization formula?

    Hi there,

Can you help me understand the goal?

I know that you have a prioritization matrix, and that the column exists in your list and Excel.

Are you wanting to sort the data by this prioritization based on the matrix and weightings, or something else?

    Can you give an example?

Ie, prioritization matrix of "High" would #1, and is whenever the Title has the letter X or Y in it, and "Medium" would be #2 when the Title has R or S in it... etc.

I'm guessing you're wanting the prioritization for sorting purposes?

    Hey!

Great question. I'm trying to connect the final score from the prioritization matrix to my MS List. Goal #1 is to connect the final column with its prioritization number into the MS List column labeled "project prioritization score." These numbers do equate to: low, medium, or high labels under priority. If it's also possible to automate "X" score = "high" priority that would be an added bonus but not the main goal of this particular flow.

Example: Project 1 scores a 10 in the Excel prioritization matrix which populates in column "H".  This final score of 10 would then automatically populate in the MS List in the column "Project prioritization score." Option 1: individuals manually fill in the priority (low, medium, high) in the MS List after this score is populate. Option 2: Add additions to the power automate so that this column also auto-fills.

I hope this makes sense! 🙂
