Storing Values in LookUpColumn using its ID

Hi

Everyone

I have a text from my MS Form should be recorded in the Lookup Column in my share point list.

Since Lookup column values can only be stored in ID, Iam getting the ID of the text value from get items.

But the value is not getting displayed in the SharePoint List , it is Blank.

Could anyone please help me to fix the issue?

    Hi @Danny_Dicaprio  ,

Can you share screenshot of you Update Item action or Send an HTTP Request to SharePoint action ?

It should work as expected if you are passing a custom value in place dropdown values shown in the flow update item action , adding a screenshot for your reference.

If this helps , please give this a thumbs up and mark this as a solution.

    Thanks,
    Sanmesh

okay , Have you checked in the other list (the list from which you are looking up) has value for the ID 13 (for the column that was looked up)?

The syntax looks okay to me , shouldn't have any issues , but if you have multi-select lookup , this is how it looks,

    S1 - Update Lookup columnsS1 - Update Lookup columns

If this helps , do give this a thumbs up and mark this as a solution.

    Thanks,

    Sanmesh

Everything looks good I am surprised , it won't show the value. Do you have any other flows associated with that list or an update action after this create item action?

    hi @SanmeshG

    That's what Iam wondering actually,

everything is perfect and the value won't show up ,

yes I have one flow associated with that list

Let me try the same by adding another action "Update item "

    Not sure it will work

    HI @SanmeshG

I have a similar flow , the current one which Iam using is the copy of the old one

There I updated the formula and tested with live data, its working fine 😃

The old flow , I just Newley added those steps from the copied flow

I don't understand why it is working there and not working here🤔

ANyway  finally we found a solution

Thanks for your help in this 🤝
