Error Message: Variable Not Saving Properly - User Unauthorized to Read Secrets from a Specific Resource (Environment variables)

I encountered the following error while attempting to save a variable in my Power Automate flow:

This variable didn't save properly. User is not authorized to read secrets from ####

I've ensured that there have been no recent changes in Azure related to permissions or configurations. Therefore, it's unlikely to be related to any recent updates.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before? I'm looking for suggestions or insights on how to resolve this problem. Any ideas or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I think it's issue of the platform. Now we have the same trouble but a couple weeks ago everything was fine.

Hi, according to Use environment variables in solutions - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn MS recently change security roles that Dataverse app must be granted in Azure Key Vault. It used to be Key Vault Reader, now it is Key Vault Secrets User.

Also, make sure under Permission model you have "Azure RBAC" selected.

And finally - make sure, the user who is importing a solution or creating the variable is also granted Key Vault Secrets User in the related AKV. I noticed in my case, that despite my account was an owner, I had to additionally grant myself the mentioned above role in order to make the whole setup work.

    Regards,

    Tomasz
