Hello, team! We want to develop a powerapp solution at an organizational level. We have an office 365 account that grants some access to powerapps and power automate. At first, we were using sharepoint List as a datasource for storing data, and some of the fields of the powerapps, such as dropdown list data and combobox data, were also obtained from sharepoint list. If an application is published and shared with end users, (they must be included to the sharepoint list, which we like to avoid.)

So, do you have any suggestions for data sources for our PowerApps application?

@Prathamesh2415 - Unlike SharePoint, Dataverse is built around role based security. It is the ideal platform for granting access to a App without exposing the data source.

If we are not talking about Dataverse for Teams (which is a bit different) - only users who are granted with either a Dynamics 365 Service Admin, Office 365 Power Platform Admin, System Admin and System Customizer role will have access to the underlying tables.

In the below example, the user has been granted a security roles which grants access to the Canvas App, as well as permission to read, edit, create and delete items in the tables. However, this is what they see if someone sends them a link the underlying Table:
