Check if E-Mail exists in Outlook Folder

Hey Community

I need a flow which checks, if a certain E-Mail exists in my predefined Outlook folder.

I managed to create a flow, which is triggered as soon as an E-Mail with the subject "Backup Failed" exists in this outlook folder. When this happens, it automatically creates a ticket in the Freshdesk Ticketsystem. But what happens when no Mail exists with the subject "Backup Failed" or "Backup Completed"? Is it even possible to create a flow for this case?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @shimmy92

Not sure what you meant by "no Mail exists with the subject "?

If you looking to read your existing emails from a pre-defined folder use Get Emails(v3) Power Automate step.

    Thanks

    Hi @abm

Thanks for your response. I get Backup notifications with specified subject's. The question is, is there a way to check when no mail has arrived at a certain time? The idea behind this is, that i don't have to check this mailbox everyday, but want to be sure, that the notifications are still arriving. And if this notification hasn't arrived, i'll get a ticket in my ticketsystem.

I hope it's a little bit clearer now...

    Thanks

    Hi @shimmy92

    Thanks for your quick response.

Are you expecting the specified subject email every day?

    Hi @shimmy92

The solution which I am going to suggest probably not the best but this might work.

Trigger a flow which triggers after 3pm everyday. Say for example around 3.30 pm. As you mentioned you are expecting an email with particular email every single day. In your flow use Get Emails(v3) to filter the records only for that particular day. Then look for the subject of the email & received email datetime. If nothing found that means no email arrived after 3pm so that you can create a ticket.

    Thanks

Thanks for your provided solution! It looks like it could work that way. I will try this and i'll let you know.

    Thank you very much @abm
