Attached uploaded file to approval email

The goal is to have a file that is uploaded in a form attached to the approval email so that the person that is review it can easily see if the file can be approved. If the file is approved then it is uploaded to a SharePoint page.

The problem is when I get the approval email, the file that is attached to the email does not have an extension. So I added text to the form so that they know to add the file extension but that doesn't help.

Screen shots are below.

Thank you.

    Hi @NETJustin ,

Please check the following video to get the method to get the file uploaded to Forms submission:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Foy8i6jPZrg

Then you could refer to the following image to configure flow:

Please take a try and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,

I keep getting this error message when following these instructions - any steps to address?

BadRequest. The request failed. Error code: 'AttachmentContentNotValidBase64String'. Error Message: 'The content for attachment '[file name]' is not a valid base64 encoded string.'.

    Hi ericschoch,

I also encountered this error before. Try this method below and see if it works:

    1. On the "Content", click expression then click base64.

    2. After choosing base64, click "Dynamic Content" then choose "attachment content" (or in your case, "File content") then click OK.

Let me know if this works.

    Regards
