Power Automate licencing question

Hi Ive been using flow/power automate for some time but I’m struggling to understand how recent licensing changes affect us.

If ive developed a power automate flow called from a SharePoint document library by an assigned read-only user. The flow does a simple approval to one of a hundred possible internal approvers.  It then moves the sharepoint document to another folder based on the result of the approval.

So my question is do I just need 1 Power Automate per user plan for me as the flow author. Or do I need to also license the read-only users who execute run the flow or the 100 employees who may potentially need to do approval within outlook? all users have e5 or m5 licenses.

Many Thanks

Ross

    Hi @engrharv ,

Based on your description, you don't need suplimentary licenses to continue using your flow.

From what I read, you are using only standard connectors like SharePoint and Approvals and using this type of connectors is covered by your E5 licenses.

Do you intend to achieve suplimentary goals in your flow, beside the ones already mentioned ?

    Hope it helps !

Many thanks. yes, I have other flows that monitor blob storage accounts and another that calls an HTTP connector so I think I need to license my account. so as long as a flow doesn't use a premium connector other users don't need any additional licensing?
