Start approval workflow from the user who rejected previous run

Hello!

I have an approval workflow (instant), which sends approvals to 3-4 users.

And if anyone rejects, the initiator receives a notification > makes necessary changes > trigger the workflow once again.

And if user 1 and user 2 approve, only user 3 rejects - is it possible for the workflow to be sent to the user 3 (who rejected)? Without starting from the very beginning (as user 1 and user 2 already approved).

P.S. current approval workflow is instant and users can enter approvers (in my case "reviewers") into workflow input (in 1 field)

Your help is very appreciated! Thanks so much

    Hi @Khrystsina,

My suggestion would be to simply track who rejected it last time in the library itself. You can create a person or group type of column for this (which allows multiple values). I would also recommend using an Approval Status column as well.

    Below is an example setup.

In this example I used a switch action with the Approval Status value field.

    1. The additional columns ApprovalStatus and RejectedBy

    2. An example flow setup. In the reject case I first retrieve the list of people who rejected the previous run.

    3. When the outcome is not equal to approve the list of responses is checked for Reject responses. Those are written to the file (together with the outcome) via a update file properties action. I have used this logic in both cases (New and Reject).
