I am seeing similar behavior and believe that this should be reproted as a bug - you can report it here.
In addition to the issue that you are seeing, I have quite a few approvals showing that are well over 30 days old - Flows can only run for 30 days and these Flows should ave been/were cancelled. When I take action on these and either approve or reject, no errors are generated and I get the normal response.
I am seeing an issue with approval step timeout. The approval in the dashboard still is active even after the approval step has timed out.,
When manager clicks approve or reject after the timeout, it shows a “succcessfully registered” message and does not give an error as written in the MS Documentation.
Is this a bug? Have you come across this situatuion?
I am using create an approval V2 and wait for approval V2 actions in my flow.
I tried also with start and wait for approval action and get the same result.
