PowerApps Portal Cost

Good Afternoon,

We currently have a 'Per User' Licence in place for out business and have the need to use and create a Portal App. I notice there is costing for external users, however we are only going to use the portal for internal users. Does this mean we only have to pay the 'Per User' cost for each staff member or for the developers making the portal only? Its not very clear. As an example we have 2 developers paying £15.10 and then if we send the link for the portal to 200 staff (Internal users) will we incur additional cost's @200*£15.1? All the staff will do is simple access the portal and nothing else?

Thank You

    Hey @JasonLane

As per @kirra instructions, you just need a power app per app license. it will cover power apps portal. In addition, the below chart is the official confirmation of your scenario

Hint: For your developers, you can ask them to spin up a dev environment. Please click here .

For your users,  you can buy a power app per app license or check the above table

    Hope it helps.

@kirra thank you for this - I need to be 100% as im currently conducting a Cost Benefit Analysis comparing to current processes. It is not clear from what i read that there is any costing for accessing a portal. Can we be100%?

    Re: PowerApps Portal Cost

My understanding is that every internal user would indeed need a power apps licence in order to access the portal. If the internal users only need to access the portal app (and no other power apps) then there is a cheaper per-app-plan (£3.10 per month per user), or if the 200 users are only going to be using the portal occasionally/intermittently, then you consider the new Pay-As-You-Go Plan, as it charges for app (portal) usage rather than an up-front user licence (£7.45 per active user per month).
