'Asked in powerapps' in get items odata filter query now getting error with the data type in power apps

Hi,

I've asked for a powerapps field in my get items action in the odata value field.

When I map the fields to the flow in power apps I get this error for this specific field in the schema.

The power apps text input that I'm referencing has this name: DataCardValue4.Text

It's default property is set as follows and intellesense is showing the data type as text.

What value is expected in the odata value field?

Thank you.

Regards,

Daniel

    Two things to check.

    1) In the OData query make sure you are adding single quotes before and after the dynamic content. 'content'

    2) Is the default value showing in the text field when you submit it as a parameter to the flow?

    Hi @Pstork1 ,

    Yes to both.

    Thanks for your help.

What kind of column is Branch in SharePoint?  Have you checked a run to see what value was actually passed for the query?

Single line of text but the field in Powerapps that writes to that column lookups up a value in another SP list which is also single line of text. I put the lookup formula above.

Have you checked a run of the flow to see what the exact value is that is being passed to the odata query?  Make sure its a valid value.  Does the query work if you temporarily replace the dynamic content with a hard coded value?

    Hi @Pstork1 ,

    Please pardon the delay.

I can't even get into the flow run yet as when I press the powerapps button to trigger the flow the powerapps give a run time error.

I did check DataCardValue4.Text in a label and it returns a text value exactly like the one that is being referenced in the get items value field.

I compared this powerapp and flow to a prior powerapp and flow which works and found everything else to be the same except that in this powerapp/flow I did the 'ask powerapps' in the get items field directly whereas in the working flow that power apps field was referenced in a sharepoint list action and I merely referenced the value from the SP list action. So far that's the only difference I can pick up.

Please let me know your thoughts. I'm starting to think that the action 'get item' requires a particular data type or formatting.

    Thank you again.

    Regards,

    Hi @Pstork1 ,

I resolved the issue. I was trying to get my date formatting to reflect correctly for my region dd/mm/yyyy and so I changed the language to EN-BG in the language property of a date picker in power apps.

I didn't check on the setting in my Sharepoint site regional settings which were En-US.

I wrapped all my datacards being passed to Power Automate the Text(datacardvalue.text,"[$-en-US]") (whether they ended in 'text' or 'selected.value') and this seems to have sorted out the problem. The value now pass to Power Automate and the flow runs.

Thanks again for all you help!

    Regards,

    Hi @Pstork1 ,

Now that the flow is running, now of the values I mapped to a sharepoint document library had any values except where I wrote form.lastsubmit.fieldname.

I realise now that the problem was that I wrote in the onselect property of the submit button

    'submitform(form)'

and after that I called the flow that needs the schema of values from power apps. So I think that after submitform the all the fields will have empty values.

I changed them all to form.lastsubmit and this seems to have made the flow properly now as the values are populating in the sharepoint document library as expected.

Thanks again for all your help.

    Regards,

    Daniel
