Folder Creation and Archive process

I have a process that I want to know if it is possible using Flow Automate.  I have a List that has a Status Column (Active, Completed, Close).  With this list, I use Flow to create folders in document libraries based on the Business Unit that is selected in the list.  Once the folders are created, I update the list with the link to that library where they were created.  My question is using the List's status column and moving the folders/files once that status changes in the libraries where they were created?

    Hi,

I think you are asking, "can I use the status column as a way to trigger the creation and moving of the folders/filters".

If so yes thats no issue

Step 1. Create an Automate Flow

Step 2. Add a when an item is created or modified (SharePoint)

Step 3. Add a Get Item Action (SharePoint) and use the SharePoint Row Id from Step 2 triggerbody

Step 4. Use a Switch based on the Value of the Status Column from the ROW you got in Step 3.

    Add

    Switch Value 1 - Active

    Switch Value 2 - Close

    Switch Value 3 - Completed

    Default - do nothing

In the above use value areas use what you need to do what you got

    Create File (SharePoint)

    Delete File (SharePoint)

    Move File (SharePoint)

    Create new folder (SharePoint)

    Move Folder (SharePoint)

    Copy Folder (SharePoint)

    Update Item (SharePoint)

Step 5. In each switch area create/move folders and files based on the Switch Value

Step 6. (optional) You can either Update SharePoint in every Switch Value Area, or do it after the Switch

Step 7. Maybe email yourself its done. I dunno 🙂

    And done.

    Cheers
