Link an Excel Spreadsheet using VBA to a sql db

I have created a form in excel that is sent to suppliers to complete, is there a way in which when the spreadsheet is returned I can use power automate to import the.data into the sql dB, with some validation, so that a check is made on the supplier name and other info so it does not import a duplicate record.

Can you please help me with this request.

If this is not the best way, would you have any working solutions available

Kind regards Brian

Validating values in Excel and importing them into SQL is definitely possible with PAD, as long as the structure of the data is consistent. It's hard to help much more without seeing what your form looks like, but you can do validations using IF / THEN logic. You can connect to a SQL database with the Open SQL Connection activity and execute SQL commands with the Execute SQL Statement activity.

One other suggestion is to consider using Microsoft Forms instead of Excel to gather your data from the suppliers. You can then use Power Automate (the online version) to handle the responses and upload to your SQL database.

    Thanks for the info.

I am new to Power Automate, would you be kind enough to give an example of mapping an MS Form field to a SQL DB,Table,Field with validation if possible

Can you recommend any good training guides for PA?

    Kind regards

    Brian

Here is an example someone else put together of connecting MS Forms and SQL https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Connecting-To-Data/Connecting-SQL-Server-with-Microsoft-Form/td-p/573886

As far as training material goes, I would recommend Guy in a Cube for Power Automate. They have pretty good videos on YouTube.
