Creating Approvals using "Start and wait for an approval" missing dynamic content

Hello,

I have an flow i'm trying to set-up. When adding an approval step and when checking for dynamic content, it seems I am missing some expressions like Comments and Response.

Has Response been renamed to Outcome?

When choosing responses comments, an "apply for each" is automatically added and I would like my flow to not include that.

Here's the flow I have at the moment:

flow.PNG

flow1.PNG

The dynamic content I am looking for (note these are pulled from a different flow) are:

comments.PNGresponse.PNG

How do I fix my flow so I can see the above dynamic content again?

Thanks!

Outcome is a comma delimited list of the individual Responses returned by the approvers.  Similarly Responses Comments is a collection of Response Comments from each approver.  Even if there is only one approver the comments are returned in a collection.  That's why you are getting an apply to each.  The response object corresponding to one approver in the collection is available inside the Apply to each loop.

    Hi @EmmanS ,

Approval action has been updated and the Response is somewhat different.

If Approval type you choose is First to respond, you could refer to the following image to use Outcome and Comments.

    • Configure variables to store comments and use Outcome to determine the approval results.

Thank you for this. Can't believe that this has to be the workaround now haha....

I will definitely use the provided solution.

I guess I will have to do the same or add another manual variable if I want to retrieve the approve (Responses) name as well..

    Appreciate your help!

Please post this as a separate question in the forums.  It will get better coverage that way.

Can we have the old "Wait for Approval" actions back? I can't see what the benefits are of the new versions. Am I missing something?
