Hi,

Im trying to create a Flow approval status so when an approval has been approved / rejected it updates a column in a list with either Approved / Rejected depending on the outcome. However, the flow fails on the update item action with status code 502 error details BadGateway. The field is just a choice field with a blank default.

Is this the correct way to implement an approval status or is there a better way. Any advice appriciated!update error.png

Thanks

    Hi @Shaney,

How is your flow created? Could you share a screenshot of your flow?

From the error message, it seems that the item you are going to update doesn’t exist. What’s the value you have specified for the Id field of action Update item?

I have made the following flow. When an item is created in a list, Start an approval, then Update item in the same list.

In the action Update item, select dynamic content ID from the trigger for Id field, and dynamic content Response for the Choice value field.

Please check the following screenshot for a reference.

Thanks for your response. Essentially, what I’m trying to accomplish is, running approval on a document in a document library which runs an update item action which update a field on master list. I’ve 2 options for content id – Get item or For a selected item.

I’ve just added the fields to the document library and now have working as should but am still unable to update item on master list with the same error each time.Screenshot_3.png
