HI All,
I have built a flow that updates a row in an excel sheet for each question in a form. The user fills in up to 40 issues and this will add rows to a the corresponding worksheet.
The flow runs fine when I submit the form to trigger it but it is incomplete and I am unable to edit it. Any time I expand and of the "Update a row" stages I get one of the following errors 'Failed to fetch' or 'Network request failed'
If I check the connection it shows as invalid :
If I click on the connection I am prompted to log in but I simply click my account and it logs in. I am not prompted for a password and do not receive any MFA push notification on the authentication app.
Even after this login I am unable to edit the details of the step as the table information is not displayed :
If I delete the steps and try to recreate them then the error will appear at random and I am then unable to save the flow.
In an attempt to resolve this I have :
I have contacted my network administrator and they are convinced there is nothing wrong with my account and informed me other users do not have issues.
The connection being used is 'Excel for business'
This is becoming incredibly infuriating and has rendered my work and the program completely useless.
The issue was with Dual factor authentication.
I changed my password and then when I tried to log in I finally got a push notification in the app
I will post the solution here after, even if the error turns out to be between the chair and the keyboard 😂
So I deleted the connection and recreated this worked for around 2 hours but then I got the same issue, I repeated this to see if this was some kind of authentication that happened every 2 hours but it broke after around 20 mins. I didnt even have time to log back into each excel step before the issue happened again.
My network admin is opening a ticket with MS
Hi @MattMannion
Thanks for the reply.
Looks like you tried all the options now. Could you please raise this with Microsoft Power Automate support team?

Thanks
I have done this previously as I accidentally copied and replaced over the sheet not realising it would break all tof the dynamic links in my flow. The error returned after a few hours
Hi @MattMannion
Could you try the following:
Take a duplicate of existing excel sheet. Map the new copy in your Power Automate action steps and try.
Please let me know the results.
Thanks
Hi Yash,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I have done this on several occasions already. It allows me to edit the flow for a short period, but I have to constantly save as the error will reappear at random.
At first it was a thrilling game of cat and mouse with the error, constantly pushing the boundaries as to how many changes I could make before the error reappeared and I was unable to save. Now it is breaking my soul.
Hello Team,
The error is right there in front of you. It clearly says that the Connection is Invalid.
Here is what you do, click on Add new connection, if it automatically takes your creds and creates a connection then its going the wrong way.
In such a case you need to navigate to the Connections in the Power Automate portal as shown in the image below-
Make sure you find each of the connections for the Excel and delete all of them, once you have finished deleting all of them, create a fresh new connection that will definitely ask you for Credentials.
Create a new connection and then use this connection in your flow actions.
Let me know if your Flow works now and it has to, it has to work !!!
