I asked support about the same thing, here is the response
----------
Based on the case description and the attachment I can see that you are seeking information about the "Log off user" Action of Power Automate Desktop.
Kindly note that in this support request we will focus on this matter and consider the request resolved.
Feel free to let me know if anything is inaccurate, missing or you disagree with the above scope statement.
Regarding the case, please feel free to review the following points. Of course, if any further assistance or information is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
I would be more than glad to help.
"Log off user" Action: Successful
Error messages: None
- Cloud-based execution (via flow.microsoft.com and the "Machine" feature of Power Automate Desktop 2.10)
"Log off user" Action: Successful
Error Messages: "There's an issue starting your desktop flow. The session running desktop flows ended unexpectedly. Check for errors and try running it again."
Regarding the error message of the Cloud-based execution, please note that it is a "false alarm" as long as the "Log off user" Action completed successfully.
More specifically, it occurred because when the "Log off user" Actions gets executed via the Cloud, the communication channel between the Cloud and Power Automate Desktop ends before expected.
Kindly note I am reporting the incident to our Development Teams as well, in case it can be addressed in a better way in the future.
Moreover, if the "Log off user" Action did not complete successfully, then please let me know so that we investigate accordingly.
Thank you very much for choosing our products, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Do stay safe.
