A few weeks ago (March 2024) the mobile device notification area just started appearing on top of my menu when in landscape. Never had this before, the App is a year old. Went to this setting and switched it on, published. and then switched it off again, published. The mobile notification area was not showing for a few opens on an android phone, then it comes back again. Any ideas on how to switch off the notification permanently

A quick update. When a power app notification is displayed while using the app, the mobile information area disappears until you restart the app and then it is back again.

I have the same problem, this makes the top of my App screens inaccessible, you can't press the controls that are in the upper area because the notifications area, clock, battery percentage... is displayed above.
If I enable the option to show the notifications area my App horizontally is reduced quite a bit in size.
This did not happen before. Any solution?
I hope it will be taken into account for the next version updates.

I use my app on Android 12. When a notification is displayed, the App then behaves properly (the mobile notification area disappears) until you start the App again. I have temporarily added a welcome notification on start up to get around this. Can someone please find a proper solution to this (or just roll back to the previous version)

I have done some tests with other Apps, in my case I think the problem lies in the use of the NFC card reader.
In Apps that do not use this control and have the same build version the notification bar is not shown.
There is an added problem, at the start of the App the notification bar is transparent and although you can't press the buttons or icons in that area at least you can see them, once you try to read a tag and the prompt to read the card appears... the notification bar becomes fully visible and then completely covers the top...
    It's really a backlog.

I have tried to send me a notification, in my case it does not work as you said, the notification bar does not even flicker, and now there is another icon in it, the Power Apps notification 😅
