I'm using a flow to update the checklist items in an existing planner task. What I want to do is:
Step 2 is no problem, but I can't seem to figure out step 1. I'm using the "Update Task Details" action in Flow and it works just fine for adding checklist items, but I can't seem to make it delete them.
Any advice?

I have made a test on my side. It seems that there is no out-of-the-box Action to delete existing checklist items in Power Automate currently.
Maybe you could consider creating a copy of the current task, except comments that cannot be copied to the new task and checklist items you don't need, other important information should be able to be copied to the new task, then you could consider whether you need delete the current task, if so , you could add a Delete a task Action.
