connection reference

Hi,

I have an application and a flow that I want to package into  a solution and move across environments. I am aware that we now have the connection reference option. I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some instructions on how to change the data connection in a canvas application and a flow to point to the connection reference rather than the connection itself.  So far I have created the solution and added a connection reference, but I don't know how to go about the next step.  Also, I don't see the connection reference option even when I create a new flow.

I would also like to get some confirmation that previously, the only way to move solutions across environments was to remove data connections and then add them again using the connection of the specific environment.

Many thanks.

Penny

    Hi @Omni,

There are steps in the blog article below to update existing Canvas App and Flow connections.

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-the-new-solution-import-experience-with-connections-and-environment-variables/

Currently the only way to see the Connection Reference in the Solution section within the Maker Portal is to change the component filter selection from All to Connection References.

When importing into the new environment, it will prompt you to choose your connections the first time, then subsequent times you won't need to.
