Flow MS Forms --> Excel not working

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have troubles making my flow working. When a new answer is submitted in my Forms formular, I want Flow to add a new row in Excel. I have tried to follow the existing advices in the community, but it does not work in my situation. I use Office 365 for businesses, and the excel sheet is in sharepoint.

I have tried two different approaches and the flow have succeded with both, but not continiously. Some days the flow works and sometimes it doesn't - and that is without editing anything.

Sorry the pictures are in danish

    Hi @Anonymous,

Please share more details on the action Add a row into a table. It seems that you are not able to select the table in the Excel file.

How did you specify the file for File field? Did you select the file by clicking the show picker?

I have made the following test.

It is triggered by When a new response is submitted.

Get response details from the trigger, select dynamic content List of response notifications Response Id for the Response Id field.

Add a row into a table, select the file from SharePoint library by clicking the show picker, select the Table from the drop down list. Fill in each column with dynamic content from previous action.

Once a response is submitted, it will be saved into the Excel table I specified.

    A screenshot for your reference.

    Hello Mabel

Thank you for taking your time to help me.

I am doing the exact same thing as you have shown in your post, but I still can't make it work. It keep saying there is a bad gateway.

Is it because my excel file is not set up correctly? As I understand, the only requirement is, to format the dataset as a table. Can you confirm that? See picture for reference.
