Auto Redact PDF Documents

I have a need to redact a large stack of PDF documents. The content being redacted follows a fairly predictable pattern, although the specifics are unique, e.g. personnel names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses.

Has anyone used PA with or without AI Builder to perform this function?

Unfortunately, this is not possible with AI Builder.
The options I see with Power Automate alone would be to either use the Adobe connector (but it's external and requires Adobe license) or fill-in a Word template, then convert it into PDF using the convert file from OneDrive (preview). Here's an interesting documentation about that: Intermediate | Flow of the week: Create PDF Invoices Using Word Templates with Microsoft Flow | Power Automate-Blog. It's a bit outdated but it gives a good guidance.

You may also ask the question in the "Building flows" section of this forum, other experts could have other options than the one I suggested.

I considered the use of the Adobe connector, but I did not see any "redact" options among the list of Adobe connector actions?

I also reviewed the link you provided, and I'm not seeing a workable strategy for my needs via that route.

Hi @MarcusD1 ,

I don't believe you have a redact option with the Adobe connector, it seems you can only create PDF from another document format. We can't give you much guidance on external connectors here but perhaps this documentation could help: Adobe PDF Services - Connectors | Microsoft Learn

Thanks Alex. I wasn't aware Encodian had redact as a feature. This looks very promising.
