Workflow MS Forms - Excel

Hello everybody,

i have created a workflow in which data from a MS Forms survey is transferred to Excel. I was able to read all the answers and have them transferred. What I could not read out so far was the name of the submitter and the language which is selectable as a dropdown. How can i select this information?

I also have the problem that selection fields from the Forms are output in " " in Excel. How can I remove these in the Excel?

Thank you very much.

    Hi,

In Forms you have two choices (for this issue).  If your submitter is an internal employee, you don't have to ask them who they are because you can automatically get that with the action.  Get response details.

In Get response details action, the dynamic content will be listed here.

Now, if your submitter is not an internal employee, aka this is a public form and anyone with the link can submit, you have to ask the question, "enter your email address" because public forms don't capture who is submitting without asking.

In addition, if the language is a dropdown question, it will also appear as dynamic content in the Get response details shown above,

    Hi,

One last comment:  Your values from Microsoft Forms will always be string values.  So as you are writing a numeric value to Excel, you will wrap it in an INT() expression.
