Approval flow status of succeeded but no emails or teams messages going out for the manager?

I have a an approval flow that use to work beautifully that is no longer sending emails out. When I do a test, the flow runs and the status is 'Succeeded' but no emails go out?? I had an issue with my list a while ago and I had rebuilt it. I was trying to connect the rules to the new list etc... After the issue was resolved and I was able to use my original list again, I tried reentering everything in the Manager approval flow but it still won't send the emails out. I rebuilt it all from scratch and it's still doing the same thing. There are no errors and the status says 'Succeeded' but the emails are not going out. Is it a setting or s

 

If anyone could help me figure out why this is happening it would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there - So, when you look at the past runs that have succeeded, check the approval steps and see what is in the Approver field.  The way you're capturing it in a variable makes me wonder what that data actually looks like, especially if there's a chance for more than one person to show up there.

    I have another list created called 'Department Managers' that has 2 columns. Department and Department Managers and the get items action references that list to see what Manager goes with which deparment.

    When I test the flow it appears to go through all of the steps and gives a 'succeeded' status but the email is not sent.

    When I open a previous successful run, I can't see see what was sent in the message. It's greyed out. How do I see this information?
