Two databases or two connections in same flow

I am using on-premise gateway for a Flow.  My first step is "When an item is created".  My second step is "Insert row".

It works fine when both tables are in the same database.  Is it possible to have a connection with two databases?  Or a Flow that uses two connections?

There does not appear to be an option to use a different database or connection for the "Insert row".

Thank you!

If you want to use two different databases then you will need to configure two connections, one for each database.

    Hi @kj2 ,

You could change the Database through the existing connection, basically a connection corresponds to a configured Database.

In addition, you could also add a new Database as a Data Source by adding new connection.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks!  I figured I needed two connections, but I didn't know how to specify the connection.  The graphic of how to alter the steps demonstrates what I need to try.

I haven't had time to test this yet, but I'll check it out as soon as I can.

A solution was provided for this one a while back.  if that isn't working for you then I would suggest posting this as a new question. You'll get more views that way and we'll better be able to help you. I would also suggest being more specific about your issue. Is there some reason that adding a second connection isn't working for you?

adding a second connection works but wanted to know if it can be achieved without creating a second connection.

No you can't do it without adding a second connection.  Connections specify the database they are attached to, so if you want a second database you have to create a separate connection.
