"Createdon" field returning incorrect data

Hello,

I have created a very simple flow to create and send me an email when a quote is created in CRM.  I'm using the QUOTES entity.  One of the dynamic content fields in the body of the email is "Createdby".  I want to see who created the quote.  This is the choice in the field list.

But when I get the email, instead of showing the name, it shows: Quote was created by 397d2a8e-36d6-e411-80f9-c4346bac9940....and then the rest of the message.  The "Createdon" field returns the correct date.  I would appreciate any help on what I'm missing here.

Thanks !

    Hi @bmilleridentco ,

To get the user name, please take a try with the following workaround.

Add the trigger When a record is created. Select entity Quotes.

Add the action Get record, select entity Users. And select dynamic content Created By from the trigger for Item identifier field.

Then add a Compose action to return the user name.

THANKS Mabel !  I used the example on the left and it worked perfectly.  I wasn't sure about the example on the right and what it was showing.

Thank you again for taking the time to help with this !

    Hi @bmilleridentco ,

    Thanks for updating.

Left hand is the detailed flow configuration. Right hand is the run details of the flow.

    Best regards,

    Mabel
