Why does it create new root UI Elements from the same web page

Hi,

This is not a real issue, but more of a doubt or question to the Power Automate Desktop development team:

  • Why does the tool keep creating new root UI Element even though I'm using the same web page?
  • Or why are UI Elements not groupped under the same parent if they are from the same web page?

This mostly happens after I refresh the page, or open the page again using the same button.

It looks like below:

I have manually renamed all the parent page UI Elements and children UI Elements, so it looks tidy.

The webpage called "SalgOgKunde" has many sub-pages, so I'm taking 3 of them in the flow.

But they are grouped under different parent pages, which makes it quite difficult to manage in long term, imagining that I need to include 20 of them during development, and each of them has its own parent.

Anyone has the same question? Any good solutions?

Thanks!

This usually happens when the page URL or title changes. Also for local UI apps, when the selector of the parent window changes. This is expected.

The issue is that we cannot move them around to tidy it up. But this is supposedly in the roadmap to be added to the app. So, bear with it for a while and some months later, we can actually manually clean up our controls repo.

The only way to do it currently would be by copying the code out of the designer and into a text file and then modifying it manually. But it is quite tricky and not very easy to do.
