Alert: Your {email account} connection isn't working

Power automate connection alert was delayed almost 2 weeks.  Connection had dropped and I did not receive the alert immediately. 
I have seen other posts and comments about this occurring as far back as 2019.  Why does this continue to occur and what if anything is being done about it?
