This seems so simple! Using Boolean sharepoint column in query

Hi all,

This is infuriating, I want a simple flow that checks if an item is 'No' in a Yes/No column in a sharepoint list. Off the back of the item is not complete a simple Teams message is sent.

I have two items in the list one complete and one not. If I reverse the query and set it to Complete eq 1 then it correctly sends a message stating the items that is listed as Complete? What am I missing here as the '0' just doesnt want to work.

I knew there would be a simple answer, it worked perfectly. I have no idea why the eq wouldn't work surely it's a logical option with a Yes/No column?!

I think it is because if the column is True/Yes then it equals 1 and has a value.

But False/No is empty so it can't be compared.

If you look at the outputs of a Get Items for the Yes/No column, the items that are No don't even have a column output.

Boolean are always kind of difficult because they change depending on the system that is reading it. Even within Microsoft it is stored differently between Sharepoint/Excel/Access/SQL Server.

Anyways, got it figured out now, and I will probably forget next time I'm using boolean and then have to look up what I'm supposed to do.

Appreciate you taking the time to respond, on the back of this I've changed my column format to a choice with Yes/No, it looks nicer on the sharepoint list like this anyway 😉
