Microsoft planner: send email when task is moved to different bucket

Hey!

Is it possible to build a flow that send an email when a task has been moved to another bucket in Microsoft planner?

We can drag the task manually. We only want to sent out a notification when we have done that.

Looking forward to your replies 🙂

    Hi @ea0710

    Thank you for posting.

According to your description, you would like to trigger when task is moved to another bucket and then send notification.

I’m afraid it’s impossible to achieve it in flow directly right now. As you can see, there is only 3 types of trigger in planner. None of them can be used to trigger the task movement.

If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum.

However, there is a workaround from 3rd part website which is trying to compare bucketID and checking task percentage every minute. Not sure if it may meet your requirement, but you can have a try.

Hope the content above may help you.

    Thanks

    Hi,

regarding submission of ideas to the Flow Idea Forum I cannot use the link (access denied). Any idea why this is restricted? (access also denied when trying to enter through other routes; google).

Several years since users are asking for this empowerment on Flow and MS doesn't implement it.

When managing a project you want to inform the requestor if that Task is "Under analysis", "Planning", "Under Development", "Scheduled", "Released", etc..

It would be much easier if we could automate this thru Flow, instead of managing it manually via Emails or Teams IM.
