Hi,

Just out of curiosity, are there any disadvantages if you use Text columns in SP as a database for a powerapp?

Are there advantages? I'm planning in using text since I feel is going to make things simpler when creating the app.

Thanks for reading,

    Hey @efroseroc ,

In SharePoint Text column, the users can save up to 255 characters only. So if your URL exceeds that limit, then its not the right column to store it. Use Hyperlink column type if it works for you.

Hi @efroseroc , You can use Multiline of text. Because Single line text & Hyperlink column also have a 255 character limit. If your URL is more than 255 character length means, you can create multi line of text column.
A Multiple lines of text column can store up to 63,999 characters.
