AI Builder Display Message "This is for development and test purposes only"

Hello all,

My Environment

  • Within my free MSDN licenced M365 environment, I have a free developer Power Platform instance running.

My Solution

My Problem

- The below warning message is displayed in the Main Form within the App Folder (i.e. Just before I <Run> the app).

CosmoKramer_0-1690413906792.png

- But when I fully <Run> the App, the embedded Canvas App Form Component doesn't even display in the Form.

Questions

1) This this warning message and non-display due to my free environment licenses?

2) If not, any suggestions on what the cause could be?

Cheers,

Cosmo Kramer

    Hello again,

    I've answered my above questions...

I got the embedded AI Canvas App working by:

    1) Creating a new 'URL' Column within this Table and set the max length to 400 characters, as shown below:

    2) I added this new URL Column to my Main Form

    3) I went down to the Component section of the Form and switched the Component type from 'URL' to 'Canvas App' and then bingo, the image of the AI App appeared on the Form.

    4) I added inserted the URL in to the embedded Canvas App both of the above 'Entity Name' and 'App Name', but it presented an error message stating the string exceeded the 100 character limit for these fields.

Question: Where can it statically preset this URL string, rather then entering it live?

Doh, sorry I had a screenshot of that, but accidently forgot to include it in my above entry.

So yes, I have inserted the App ID into this field (below), but it still leaves the URL field empty for me enter and click upon. Whereas, I'd like the URL to be self-populated.

    Hi @CosmoKramer ,

    Sorry, I'm a little confused.

Does the embedded canvas app now appear in Model Driven?

I followed your steps and it shows up normally in the form.

    Good pickup  🙂

My above first mentioned attempt didn't display the embedded AI Canvas App within the Main Form, so I changed my logic to display it within a pop-up webpage.

Ideally, I'd like the Canvas App to be embedded seamlessly in the Form so that the user thinks it's all on one web page. Any tips for both problems??

Plus, how to I get a successful photo AI Object Detection results back into a Table??

    Cheers,

    Cosmo

I've changed my MDA Main Form to show a URL Form Component, as well as a embedded Canvas App Form Component to my AI Object Detection App, but sadly both don't display properly in my Main Form (as shown below), but do work correctly when ran manually by themselves:

    1) The URL Form Component has the below Component Settings, but I still can't find the setting where I can statically set it's URL to the AI Canvas App.

    2) The Embedded Canvas App Main Form doesn't even display when <Played>. I think this is similar to displaying a 'Quick View Form', where the user first has to enter a Column data to initiate the QVF to be displayed. But how do you do that for an AI Detection Application???

    Cheers,

    Cosmo
