How to Connect to File Systems on your local or network machines without On-Premises Data Gateway.

I have created which reads from File Systems on my remote VM with the help of On-Premises Data Gateway.

But as On-Premises Data Gateway is deprecated, I am unable to find any alternative to do the same.

 

Please assist.

Appreciate a quick response!!

    Hi @eric-cheng,

    You are right, OPDG is deprecated only for Desktop flow, but I thought it was being removed completely.

    And I have lot of flows which would require lot of change if it's completely.

    So I dropped a query to understand the alternative , meanwhile contacted Microsoft technical team on the same and they confirmed it's limited to Desktop Flow access.

     

    It's better to be safe than sorry!

    Hi @Prasant ,

     

    From my understanding, the OPDC was deprecated for calling desktop flows only and the replacement is machine runtime. 

     

    For accessing other resources like File System,  OPDC is still the way to go?  Do you have a link stating otherwise?
