Unable to replace text using Populate text field in window

Hi team,

When I try to change the value of an input field within a desktop software using Populate text field in window, I always get the effect of appending the text instead of replacing it. I have set the option "If field isn't empty" to "Replace text" in the advanced options, but the result is still the same.

Is this a bug, or any suggestions?

    Hi @kevinyu26 ,

     

    Please try the below steps.

     

    Restart PAD: Sometimes, a simple restart of Power Automate Desktop can resolve temporary glitches.
    Update PAD: Check if you're using the latest version of PAD. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements to functionality.

     

    Even after above if it doesnt works try using Send actions as shown in below image. Try to replicate the same and make necessary changes.

    If none of these work raise a ticket to Microsoft Support.

    Populate text field in window working fine for the me there is no issue like as you mention.

    I think its like glitch. try to restart your system and try this action again , if it not work you can rise ticket to Microsoft

    You can attempt to restart or update/downgrade your PAD version to see if it resolves your issue. Additionally, try using a different textbox on a different site, such as the textbox on www.google.com, to determine if the problem persists there as well.

     

    If none of these methods work, you can consider using JavaScript to clear your textbox before executing your text population action.

    I have tested PAD version 2.43.204 version, replace functionality working fine.

    Thanks for the replies, I'm using the latest version and I tried restarting the PAD as well as the system, but the problem is still there...

    I ended up bypassing this problem by sending keys (Ctrl+A) before the step of filling in the values, thx.
