Most new files not detected (added or modified: FileSystem)

Hello,

I have a simple flow to copy files when new files are added to a folder, however I am having issues getting the trigger below to detect ALL new files that were dropped into the source folder.   Sometimes I get about 7 out of 8 files copied over, other times nothing at all.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi @asen55,

Are the files being added directly to the folder or to subfolders? This trigger has the following limitation

When a file is added or modified (properties only)
"This operation triggers a flow when one or more files are added or modified in a folder. The trigger does not fire if a file is added/updated in a subfolder. If it is required to trigger on subfolders, multiple triggers should be created."
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/filesystem/#when-a-file-is-added-or-modified-(properties-only)

    Hope this helps.
    Anthony.

Files are being directly copied to the folder being watched.  I am using a subfolder to test moving files to.

My experience with this connector has not been good. You need to connect to an On-Premise Data Gateway for this trigger to work. If the On-Premise Data Gateway is offline for any reason, it will not trigger the flow.

I suggest updating the Data Gateway to the latest version if you haven’t done so already.

If you can reproduce the behavior, I recommend opening a ticket with Microsoft Support.

Depending on your requirements, you can also create a Power Automate Desktop flow that copies all the files on a scheduled basis, which I believe will be more reliable.

    Hope this helps.

Hi - I am facing a similar issue. I have a trigger folder - when i copy or move a file that was modified/created three days back into the trigger folder for the first time, the trigger is not firing and picking up these files. However, if the modified date of the file is of today's date, the trigger is picking up the files. I am not sure why that is. Did you ever find a solution for your issue?
