Team,

At 7:20/17:53 we are instructed to use the formula ThisItem.isOverdue

I am receiving the following error when I ask Copilot to explain this formula to me.

"The expression was intended to check if the value of the 'isOverdue' property of the current item is true. However, the errors are that 'ThisItem' is not recognized as a valid variable, and the '.' operator cannot be used on Error values."

Hi,

We cannot help you, without you sharing the actual Flow, share the Data Inputs etc.

We can't simply read that and tell you the answer.

ThisItem is used within a Gallery. Plus I don't want to argue with CoPilot whos skill it -10000000000 compared to mine

Hi Justin

I assume that you're receiving this error and you want to know how to resolve it.

The most likely cause of 'ThisItem' not being recognized is due to the keyword being applied outside of a gallery/form.

Note in the screenshot how Label3 is a child item of the galLoans gallery. If you added a label that wasn't a child of the gallery, this would cause the error. Can you verify if this is case? If not, it would be helpful if you could post a screenshot of your error here.

Thank you very much for your reply! I am very very new to this so here we go!

1. TimL your explanation of "child item" in a specific gallery had me thinking and well, it is now fixed! Label4 was a child item of the Home Screen gallery instead of Gallery1. Once I cut and pasted Label4 (your Label3) in the proper gallery, ThisItem.isOverdue recognized the boolean logic formulated in within the loans table. You have some different names than me??? I Don't remember Rory telling me to do that, did I miss something or you are just thinking ahead and motivating me to be way more organized? Thank you so much!

MikeL, how do you share a flow? That would be awesome so that I can better communicate my issues in the future. I tried to google this before asking and well, making flows is an actual app as you know in this suite and you guesd it, I got a whole lot of hits about that!
