Office 365 Users - Get manager

Hello,

I'm trying to create a flow where I'm basically:

  1. taking the reponder email of a Microsoft Form,
  2. taking the Office 365 user profile out of the responder email
  3. taking the Manager Office 365 user profile out of the responder UPN

In order to do that I'm using the fiollowing function: Office 365 Users - Get manager. See screenshot below. Sorry the fonction names are stangely in French while I setup english as display language!

I'm getting an error on step 3 : "No manager found for the specified user".

Now the question is where can we setup users managers? I believe my company admin can do so? Can someprovide a resource link that I can provide to my company admin so he can do the org chart mapping?

Many thanks in advance,

you can do that in Azure active directory UAI or use the Powershell Cmdlet  Set-AzureADUserManager see more here: use https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/azuread/set-azureadusermanager?view=azureadps-2.0

    Kind regards

    Hi @Gaetan,

The error told that the user you specify has no manager.

Office 365 Users-Get manager is tied to Azure Active Directory, you could add Manager ID in user profiles.

Firstly, you need to find the manager and copy his Object ID. Then open the profile pane and paste the Object ID into Manager ID box.6.JPG

More details about changing profile for a user, please check the following document:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-users-profile-azure-portal

    Best regards,

    Kris
